住在梅窩的朋友跟我分享單車車呔數次被刺穿的經歷，我對這「刺客」十分好奇，很想與他隔空交流，因此最初想嘗試推敲出他的身份和動機，但當我到了梅窩跟朋友還有她的媽媽「落口供」後，我發現單車事件好像一面鏡子，透過它揭示到的事情比「刺客」本身更引人入勝，於是我在後續的創作中繼續借題發揮。
My friend in Mui Wo shared with me her story about her bicycle tyre being punctured several times. I was intrigued by this “tyre assassin”, and I wanted to indirectly connect with this person, hence at first I tried to figure out his or her identity and motive. However, after “taking statements” from my friend and her mom, I realised this tyre incident feels like a mirror, reflecting deeper and more fascinating issues than the tyre assassin itself. So, I continued to elaborate upon my thoughts on these reflections.
